SAMSARA
I just put the trash out
but already
the bin is full.
I just did the dishes
and already
there are more in the sink.
I just put gas in the car
but now
the tank is empty.
I just was born
it's time to die.

Life is a series of struggles
that's what the Buddha meant:
"Life is dukkha"
the content changes
but the vessel
stays the same --
same band,
different tune.
When I was young
I sought them out
me against the world --
Arrrrrrrgh!
Now that I'm old
I just sit back
and let the struggles
come to me.
